Μία πρωτοποριακή ιατρική σύριγγα, η οποία αντιλαμβάνεται πότε τρυπάει τη φλέβα και έτσι σταματά την περαιτέρω πίεση, δημιούργησαν Βρετανοί ερευνητές, με σκοπό να μειώσουν τις οδυνηρές ενέσεις.


Οι ερευνητές του πανεπιστημίου Nottingham Trent και της εταιρείας ιατρικού εξοπλισμού Olberon σχεδίασαν και θα παράγουν τη νέα σύριγγα, σύμφωνα με τη βρετανική «The Telegraph», ενώ ανέφεραν ότι η καινοτομική βελόνα δεν θα είναι ακριβότερη από τη συμβατική.


Σημειώνεται ότι εκτιμάται ότι το ένα τρίτο των ιατρικών ενδοφλέβιων ενέσεων που γίνονται κάθε χρόνο αποτυγχάνει την πρώτη φορά, συχνά από απροσεξία των γιατρών και των νοσοκόμων.
